Web Analytics
What is web analytics?
Web Analytics is similar to, but should not be confused with, Google Analytics. Essentially it is the process of tracking identifiable visitors on your website.
Why use web analytics
What makes StrategyMix Web Analytics so useful from a sales perspective is (a) you can alert your sales team in real-time when a key prospect is visiting your website now and (b) you can show sales which pages, such as product and pricing pages, have been of most interest to each prospect.
2 examples
Here are 2 examples of why your Sales Team would benefit from Web Analytics:
Example 1: If a prospect is visiting your pricing page, Sales will receive an alert and can immediately call the prospect to ask them if they have any questions with regards to your pricing. This call is likely to receive a positive reception because it is both relevant and timely.
Example 2: Your sales team may have "given up" on a prospect who is no longer taking their calls. If your sales team know that this prospect has recently been visiting your website, then they will know that he is still interested and that they should not "give up".
You cannot do this with Google Analytics because Google, quite rightly, cannot identify the individual.
